Sorry - Daniel |
I know I used to update the site every 2-3 days but I can only manage to update it weekly just now as I don't always have access to my dad's PC and my modem is still not fixed. I'm updating at 1am right now! Please just hang in there and keep visiting me... It should be fixed soon! I hope. I know many of you enjoy getting my mailing list but I'm afraid this has discontued due to the problem of my modem. It will start up again before TS is released, hopefully a few weeks before! Everything will be back to normal as soon as possible. Anyway, here is the week's best news: |

Wow! There hasn't been much news on this topic lately. And this time it is good (remember that?) news! Software ETC said a few weeks ago that TS would be released on September 1st. They now say August 25th! Now, that's been put forward. Amazing! Mind you, all it means is there shouldn't be any more delays and we should see the game definitly by the start of September. Hurrah! This news was from Bobb55 who sent it to TSNNZ. |

Command and Conquer for Nintendo 64 was released 2 days ago. So now you can play 50 missions with either GDI or Nod in this classic game. You can order it now for just $54.99! (Which is a good price for an N64 new release) |
PCG UK Review - Daniel |
Apparently, PC Gamer UK claim that they will have a review of Tiberian Sun in their next issue. However, this is what Adam Isgreen has to say on the matter:"As far as I know, anyone that is doing a review / preview either came out here to Vegas or one of our PR people flew out there with the game for them to play. We're very protective of our title. I don't think anyone will be given an unsupervised copy until we're gold." |

Platinum Edition Information - Daniel |
TiberiumSun.com have posted this:It looks like there is a $10 difference between the Platinum and normal edition of TS at Babbages as well. If you preordered TS for $45, then you have ordered the normal one and needless to say if you ordered the more expensive one, then Platinum is what you'll get. Check out this page to see what I'm talking about(scroll down to Command & Conquer). So, not every1 who has pre-ordered will get the Plat Edition. Also, WW say it is only available in North America. Sob! |
Aaron Interview (Again) - Daniel |
Tiberian Sun Warzone has interviewed Aaron Cohen, WW PR Guy, about the game:IanRules: Is there a feature no one ever heard about (even your wife) that will be in the final game? Can't wait to kill those cyborgs! Anyway, read the rest at TS Warzone and read more about the waypoint system by clicking here and scrolling down. |
"Couple of weeks!" - Aaron - Daniel |
Here it is, what we've all been waiting for. Solid, official, actual proof that the game is veeeeery near completion! Kane41 from TiberiumSun.com has posted the second part of their phone interview:Pac-Man01: Do you still have air-to-air combat?Well, this confirms what I just said below. An August release seems iminent! Read the rest of the interview at TiberiumSun.com. |
TS Review in PCG - Daniel |
Over at BG:TS they have found this in the latest issue of PC Gamer:Finally the waiting is over...So this means that Tiberian Sun will go Gold before the next issue is out, ie. within the next month! At last, we shall see this game. If it goes gold by the end of July, that would indicate an August Release! |

E3 Preview Video - Daniel |
I just received PC Gamer UK (August edition) and it had a 10 minute E3 preview video with footage of over 20 games. This includes over 30 seconds of Quake III, which looks amazing, about 20 seconds of coverage from Force Commander, and of course, some clips of Tiberian Sun. It has about 20 seconds of someone playing the game, and it looks really good. The unit ordering system looks pretty efficient and the graphics and animation are looking cool. |
Red Alert - Number 6 - Daniel |
PC Gamer UK (August edition) had in it the Readers Top 100 Games of all time and I was delighted to see that we in the UK, voted C&C and Red Alert at number 6! You see, after all these years, it's still one of the best games around. Imagine how popular Tiberian Sun is going to be! I don't think I need to tell you what was number 1! |
Modem Problems - Daniel |
Well, my upgrade has kind of worked! The processor, motherboard and all that are now working fine. The problem is that my modem isn't working just now. This is why I haven't sent out the mailing list, replied to my e-mails or updated the site for over a week. Sorry! I am trying as hard as I can to fix it and as soon as I do, the mailing list and site updates will return to normal. Just now I am using my dad's laptop and I will try to get some news to you but I don't have much time! If you know a lot about computers, maybe you could help me. Here is the problem: I have installed the modem (external 3Com US Robotics 56k message modem) and plugged it into the COM1 serial port. The problem is that whenever I try to use it, it doesn't dial and gives me the following error:Please help me! Have you get any ideas or tips? I'd appreciate any help. Please e-mail me. |
TSTZ Q&A - Daniel |
TS Twilight Zone have also asked Aaron some more questions:MaDSt0na739: Will the forgotten attack those "Tiberium Creatures?"Read the others, here |
TS Den Preview Guide - Daniel |
TS Den have posted part 3 of the Preview Guide 2000. It has loads of information. Here's a sample:Tiberian Weather: There will be a number of 'weather' effects that add element of random chaos to the game. Meteor strikes can cause massive amounts of damage to units and structures, and spawn new Tiberium fields around the crater where the meteor hits. Deadly ion storms, which can last for minutes, rain powerful bolts of lightning down on the map and render units that employ advanced technology; stealth units for instance, ineffective. Tiberium itself forms another part of the environment. It now comes in standard green and new blue. Blue Tiberium is rarer and more potent, and therefore worth a lot more. It is also extremely explosive. Enough so that and ore collector loaded with it will be, in essence, a 'mobile nuke'. Even fields of uncollected blue Tiberium may be set off in chain reactions by certain events/units, although that means throwing away an awful lot of resources.Read the rest (there's a lot of it), here. |
Xtreme Gamerz Preview - Daniel |
Xtreme Gamerz have a new preview of Tiberian Sun available here. |
TS.de Questions - Daniel |
TiberianSun.de have asked Aaron a few questions:TiberianSun.de: If a infantry-unit runs over a blue instead of a green Tiberium-field, will it die faster? Are there any differences?Read the rest in English at BG:TS or in German at TiberianSun.de. |
Aaron Q&A - Daniel |
Captain Zero from TS Center.com has asked Aaron Cohen from WW a few questions:Captain Zero: If a diskthrower, or a rocketsoldier gets squished, would they explode under the gigantic presure from the MM2's feet, giving it a little damage, so that there misurable life didn't end with no cause? You can read the other two over at TS Center |
