Tiberiumsun.com Webcam - Alex |
Tiberiumsun.com now has a webcam online showing them working in their office in Munich. It is quite funny, so check it out! |
Release Date - Alex |
Well I know you've seen that Headline several times. There have been a lot of stories about the Release Date lately. Most TS sites posted news about a call from a Westwood PR guy (saying June/July), and an e-mail from Rade, the producer of the game (Sommer), that mysterious file on the EA FTP (Easter), the EB World preorder (June), just to name a few. |
I personally think it is quite a mess, and wonder why Westwood does not take action and give an official date now in a PR release, not by calling some webmaster on the answering machine,as somebody called "Cyberman0" claims to have received such a call. In the meantime I think that it is going to be released in Summer, since Easter, the last official Date from Westwood, is in a few weeks. |
New Staff Member! - Alex |
Hi, I am Alex, the new Staff Member here at Tiberian Explosion. I am 14 (almost 15) and live in Atlanta, GA, while I am actually German. I receive the German Mag PC Games, what means that I will be able to translate their specials, many of those exclusively, I think. |
Despite those specials, I am going to do daily updates, some layout tuning here and there (like the News picture above), and help Daniel in general. He is going to continue doing updates, making the majority of the graphics, writing the Newsletter, and doing everything else basically. Watch out for some surprises in the future! |
We hope we will be a great team and try to offer you the best service on Tiberian Sun!!! |
TS Video - Daniel |
You can now view the Tiberian Sun 'Sizzle' trailer in RealVideo format. There are nine files and you can view them in real-time without downloading. If you haven't seen the video - here's your chance. Click here now. Thanks to Jimmy for converting the clips! |

More news on Release Date... - Daniel |
Aaron Cohen (PR-manager for TS) said this in Gamestar magazine:"Normally we have 60 beta-testers. But when a product is shortly before completition, like Tiberian Sun is at the moment, the whole firm plays it. With this method we have been able to spot quite a few bugs."So, if they're beta-testing it, the release must be very soon. And here's some more evidence of this, from PC IGN, which says Easter, which is just after March, so that's good: "Westwood's highly anticipated Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun has finally entered the final stages of development. The game has recently entered the debug stage and EA is hoping to have the product out the door by Easter." |
N64 Pics - Daniel |
I have found some pictures of the Nintendo 64 Version of Command and Conquer. The graphics don't look as good as the PC version but that's what happens when you convert a game from PC to console, usually. Here is a screenshot:![]() Thanks to TiberiumSun.com for this information and image. |
Tiberian Sun Demo - Daniel |
It has been revealed on the offical document from EA's server that there will be a "demo before or right after the release". I think this applies only to the German release and it may be different for US or international release. |
Release Date - Daniel |
OK, I'm now very unsure about the release date. It says at Chombo.com that the release date is March 12th 1999. PC Gamer say June 1999 and the last thing Westwood said was Mar 26th 1999. |
Wednesday 3rd March 1999 |
