JULY NEWS Week 4

Even more new pics from PCG - Daniel
Here are some more interesting images from the PC Gamer (UK) Review, which you can see, scanned, at TiberiumSun.com:

Nod Cyborg, crawling around with his legs blown off.

Here is the Nod tick tank, fully deployed and ready to fire!

Here are some in-game images of the Cyborg
Commando and the Mutant Hijacker Commando.

Now that's a guy running around on fire! Can't tell whether he's GDI, Nod or civilian.

Ion Cannon Questions - Daniel
TSNNZ has asked Aaron some questions. Here are three of them:
Durhammo: Will the Ion Cannon vs multi missle still be off balanced,1 be way more powerful?(like the nuke was to the ion cannon in C&C)?
Aaron: Balance between the side is something we are always striving for.

Durhammo: During an ion storm will units entering the area be effected as well, or only the ones in it initially?
Aaron: The Ion Storm affects the entire map.

Sonic: What programming language do you use for Tiberian Sun and why?
Aaron: Assembly. Because it is fast and saves memory.

The Pyramid (see below) - Daniel
Kane41 from TumSun.com received this e-mail:
Apologies for wishing to remain anonymous, but I feel it's probably the best way... I just wanted to tell you that the pyramid in the screenshot (the black and purple one) is an alien artifact (name begins with T, can't quite remember) and you fight for possession of it in both campaigns. Apparently in the Nod version, it's quite impressive.
New Preview - Daniel
Gamers Depot have written a new preview of Tiberian Sun with 3 new pics. You can see the images at The Real TS Site.
AGTS Info - Daniel
AGTS has got some new info from a 'reliable' source. Well, here's a bit of it:
  • Upgrades for the component tower cannot be sold separetly. Same goes for the other structure upgrades.
  • Spotlights are only available in single player.
  • Obelisk will not be able to take air units.
More MMII/Railgun Info - Daniel
TSB have posted some scientific information on railgun technology. Here's an excerpt:
Located at CEM-UT, the aeroballistic range for hypervelocity projectile testing has been in operation for five years. Presently, a 90 mm bore railgun, 10 m in length, capable of supplying a muzzle kinetic energy of 9 MJ, with a maximum breech pressure of 500 MPa, is installed in the range. The total launch package mass can range from 4 to 1 kg, with corresponding muzzle velocities of 2 to 4 km/s.
Battery Crates - Daniel
The Real TS Site found this info in the Gaming magazine, Computer Games Strategy Plus:
One of the crates that's going to be in Tiberian Sun is the "battery crate". If you got it, a button will appear on the sidebar. Its purpose is to provide you with power for a LIMITED amount of time. Perhaps the best time to use it would be during an attack, when some of your power plants are wiped out...
Music from Sole Survivor - Daniel
TiberiumSun.com have got a re-mixed version of Hell March, from C&C: Sole Survivor. You can download the 2.4Mb file, here.

A few more things! - Daniel
Here are some more interesting and mysterious images from the PCG Review:

What is this strange missile lying in the middle of a road?

This looks like a crashed civilian bus or truck. Also, the first shot of the cursor!

Another new image of a civilian train.

In-game image of the Nod Repair Bot.

Some evidence that they may have reviewed an early build or beta version of the game.
Should the map filename really be displayed? I don't think so!

There is probably more to come!

New Images from PCG Review - Daniel
Well, TiberiumSun.com have posted a list of some of the new images, taken from the PC Gamer (UK) Review, which you can see, scanned, at TiberiumSun.com.
Now, they have asked that I only post a few of them, but I'm gonna post them all. Why? Well, I noticed them too, as I have the magazine. It's just that they scanned the images first. Anyway, many thanks to TiberiumSun.com. Here they are:

Sidebar pic of engineer.

Sidebar pic of GDI Firestorm Emitters

Mammoth Mark II firing.

In-game shot of Nod Harpy, a light attack helicopter.

In-game shot of the Nod/alien Banshee fighter.

The after-effects of a Nod Tiberium gas missile.

Sidebar pic of a Nod buggy (with unit queuing in top-right?)

In-game shot of GDI Orca Carryall.

Ingame shot of the Forgotten Ghostalker.

Pyramids? Something to do with aliens maybe?

A train!

In-game shot of GDI Firestorm Defense Emmitters.

Forgotten unit, the "Hunter-Killer Holiday Caravan" Cool!

That's it. There are a few that they have missed. I'll post them as soon as I get round to scanning them, or if someone else scans them. And I'll update the units section with these pics very soon.

Mysterious Building - Daniel
I noticed this unusual building in the PC Gamer (UK) Review of Tiberian Sun and have no idea at all what it could be:
What is it? E-mail me.
You can see the entire review, scanned, page by page, at TiberiumSun.com.
PC Gamer Review 'Errors' - Daniel
Well, it seems we know more about TS than PCG. General Sheppard from BG:TS has noticed these mistakes:
  • They call the Nod Missile Silo the EMP Cannon.
  • They call the Temple of Nod an Obelisk of Light.
  • They call a regular unit the Missile Silo.
  • They say that a frustrating part of the game is there is no unit queueing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Cohen already said that there would be unit queues.
Another thing which they may have wrong is about the unit graphics. They say that the units graphics are 'tragically blocky' due to the voxels. But Gnrl Sheppard thinks that this may be because they've been running the game at 320x240, or they've zoomed in using a paint program, or maybe because it was an earlier build of the game which they reviewed.
Whatever it is, in some of the screenshots they had, the units looked nice and smooth, which is what I think they will look like in the game at 640x480.
Have a look for yourself, over at TiberiumSun.com
Mammoth Mark II Information - Daniel
sbeguy sent this information to BG:TS:
I was looking through Guinness book of records the other day and i noticed this headline:

Most futuristic weapon
An electromagnetic device called Railgun, developed for the "Star Wars" program, can revolutionaise warfare on earth. If the electricity problems can be solved, (now here comes the best part) it will combine anti-air and anti-armor weapons with the machine gun. Air and ground units will be sawn apart of a stream of small projectiles with an incredible speed. But (there always comes a but) the high speed of the projectiles will require millions of KW of electricity, so today it would have to be linked directly to a powerplant.

I remember sometime when westwood said that they got some help from the military to get ideas for new weapons and devices to put into the game. This is obviously one of them.

So that's why the MMII is so big! It needs a huge powerplant in it to power it's railgun!
New Articles - Daniel
Several new articles have just been written:
  • Stealth Menace
    Author: Chris (from TiberiumSun.com)

Check out our articles section for more articles (60 altogether)!
Aaron Questions - Daniel
TSNNZ asked Aaron some questions, 8 in total. Here are two of them:
Durhammo: Will an ion storms effects end as soon as the storm ends or is there a time after when units are effected?
Aaron: When it ends, it ends. The only units affected after will be the ones that were damaged or destroyed by lightning.

JRHOPPER: Is there's anything Like a "RULES.INI" to edit units like in R.A.? Or do we have to create our own editing programs?
Aaron: You'll have to create your own. Good luck. It will be tough.

PC Gamer Review Scanned - Daniel
TiberiumSun.com have scanned in all six pages of the PC Gamer (UK) Review. There is loads of new information and some cool new images.
Thursday 29th July 1999
Game Example - Daniel
Zagadka from AGTS, the alt.games.tiberian-sun newsgroup web site, has had an interview with Rade. Here is an excerpt:
Zagadka: would you mind telling us a story that "typifies" a ts gameplay incident? Rade: Hehehe, I have a good one. I was playing one of the guys last night. He had some Titans and a MMk.II that he thought he'd surprise me with. I saw him coming, hit his force with an EMP and stole the MMk. II with a hijacker. I killed him about 15 minutes later.

EB World Statement - Daniel
Robert Anderson sent this e-mail to Sonic of TiberianSun.net.nz, concerning EB World's mistake (they said TS had gone Gold):
On Friday July 23, 1999, EBworld.com erroneously reported that Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun had gone gold. Due to an update error in our maintenance schedule of the site, we allowed this incorrect fact to be highlighted next to the product on the home page. Although the actual product page stated the correct release date of 8/25/99, the burst next to the product on the home page still indicated that the product had gone gold, which was not the case. We apologize for any inconvenience and confusion this may have caused. Westwood Studios has told EBworld.com that the product is in the final stages of testing and a master candidate is eminent. Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun will be going gold very soon. EBworld.com is committed to providing our customers with updated and accurate information. Thank you for your support.
So that's that all cleared up.
PCG Review Confusion - Daniel
Several people have been commenting about the PC Gamer UK Review (see below) and two points of view seem to have emerged, both of which are untrue:

1. "Tiberian Sun got only 92%. Therefore it is not as good as Starcraft or Total Annihilation. This isn't a very good score for the game."

Here is my reasoning to why this is not correct:
  • The magazine reviewed Starcraft and TA ages ago and they received those (higher) scores for their time.
  • The score of 92% for TS is based on what new games and technology are available.
  • Therefore TA and SC were better games for their time than TS is for its time. But for now, TS is better.
  • An example: If a game received 90% in 1996, then another game received 80% in 1999, the second game would probably be better overall, due to advances in the genre and graphics. (i.e. If the first game was released now, it's score wouldn't be as high.)
Want more proof? Click here
2. "Tiberian Sun only got 92% because PCG reviewed a beta version, therefore this is a very good score for an unfinished game."
Well, PCG do not review beta versions. In their own words, "We only ever review titles which have been signed off as 'finished' by the people who make them." So that's wrong too. But 92% is still a pretty damn good score!
Agree? Disagree? Tell me your opinion
More Images Added - Daniel
The images section is coming along well. I've just finished the storyline and cut-scene video sections, and we now have just about 200 images all together on this site! Next, I'll be doing the making of TS, then finishing the 3D Renderings, In-game and E3 Sections.
FIRST EVER TS REVIEW!!!!! - Daniel
WOW! I just received the September Issue of PC GAMER UK (due out on Aug 2nd). It has a REVIEW (no-P) of Tiberian Sun. That's right. Westwood have handed them the nearly complete game and PC Gamer have played it, completed it, and reviewed it!
Click here for a summary of the review.
US PCG Review? - Daniel
OaSiS from TSNNZ noticed this in PC Gamer:
PLUS! You won't want to miss some of the REALLY RATHER SPECIAL surprises we'll have in store for you next month. We can't go into them now, but pick up the October issue, and you'll see for yourself...
So maybe you Americans will also be getting a review of Tiberian Sun in PC Gamer next month. Let's hope so... Mind you, by that time, the release will be days away!
PC Gamer Advert - Daniel
TSNNZ have posted a scan of a PCG advert for TS at WalMart:

Virtual Ted E-mail - Daniel
EagleMan from TiberiumSun.com received this e-mail from Virtual Ted:
Hi guys,

The amount of mail I am getting is staggering. After working on my inbox for some time today, I still have about 400 pieces of email to answer. Most of it is entitled "JUST ONE QUESTION" or "PLEASE REPLY". So, this auto-reply should satisfy at least a few of the questions I have been receiving...

First off, we have other items to release over the next few weeks. In fact, I will be releasing something every week for the next few weeks. So, please stay tuned and visit the official site often. (One of these items is the preview movie everyone has been asking about. I won't release any specific dates on these items or what they are).

Next, the game is looking really good. REALLY good. I'm expecting it to go gold any day now. When it does, I will let everyone know via the website. Until then, I'll continue playing nightly in our mega-LAN battles here at night. Sorry guys. And, I will be updating the Tiberian Sun fansite list later today. Sorry to take so long, but it's taking an unbelievable amount of time to get through this mail.

Last of all, I'll be hosting a Tiberian Sun Tournament at GENCON next week in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from August 4th to the 7th. I invite you all to stop in and participate. I'll be giving away some good stuff, and this will be your first chance to get some hands-on multiplayer experience before playing online. There are many specific questions which I'm sure you would like to know, but that's all I can provide for now. Unfortunately, this is the only way that I can reply to everyone, and still get a lot of TS ladder/clan stuff done in time for the game's release.

Stay tuned.

-VT!

Starcraft copied Tiberian Dawn - Daniel
Over at BG:TS, Bounty has posted an article about how C&C created the RTS Game (I thought Dune II did?). Anyway, he says that TS didn't copy Starcraft, but Starcraft copied C&C: Tiberian Dawn. Here are his main points:
  • The Genre - Blizzard basically stole the genre, we all know Westwood created the RTS.
  • The Voice - The familiar "Our base is under attack" is done also in SC with their wanna be EVA woman.
  • Click & Build - The basic philosophy of an RTS, you click something to build and click a unit to move.
More Unit Info - Daniel
Westwood Underground have posted some more official unit information, this time on some of the Nod units:
Tick Tank:
This light battle tank has the ability to burrow itself into the ground to increase its defenses and perform mobile battery defense. When burrowed, only the turret and a small part of the unit remains above ground. To burrow the tick tank, select it, then left-click on it. The unit will burrow down into the ground and become immobile. To move the unit again, select it, then left-click on it again. Once the tank has dug out from the ground, it can be moved again.

Subterranean APC:
The Subterranean APC is capable of carrying up to five units underground to a target. When underground the subterranean APC is invisible to the enemy but can be detected by a GDI Deployable Sensor Array. The APC cannot surface from under certain terrain types, such as rough terrain, water, etc.

  • To load infantry into the APC, select the infantry to be loaded and highlight the APC. An enter cursor will appear. Left clicking will send the units into the APC.
  • To unload infantry, select the APC and double-click. A deploy cursor will appear. Left clicking again with the deploy cursor will unload the infantry from the APC.

TS not gone Gold - Daniel
It seems EB World have decided that Tiberian Sun hasn't, in fact, gone Gold. They have changed there front page graphics to say 'Pre-order' instead of 'Just Gone Gold'. Oh Well. Looks like we've got to wait just less than one month!
RA Unit Creator - Daniel
The Red Alert Unit Creator, or TUC for short, is now available free! This program enables you to edit and create your own units, structures and weapons for Red Alert, all of which are totally cutomizable. It comes with a huge selection of ready-to-use graphics and you can also import your own. And it rocks! Download it at Red October's Web Site.
RA Unit Creator - Daniel
Red October sent an e-mail to TiberiumSun.com about The Red Alert Unit Creator (TUC). It's a really cool program in which anyone can edit/create units, structures and even weapons for Red Alert. It also has many pre-made examples. And now it is free! (previously cost $10). You can Download is here.

Mastercard Commercial - Daniel
SonicStorm of RSN has made an unofficial TS Mastercard commercial (with Flash). It's pretty funny. Take a look here.
WW Online Banner - Daniel
TiberiumSun.com found this banner at the Westwood Online Command & Conquer ladder:
PC Games.de Interview - Daniel
Okay, this is complicated, so I'll try and make it sound simple. Tiger (from TS Galaxy) had an interview with Petra (from PC Games.de). However, it was all in German so Battleground:TS translated it:
Tiger: Are there any new pieces to Tiberian Sun?
Petra: In this stage, things can still change somewhat-meanwhile almost all units, buildings, and features are well known.

Tiger: Could you describe to us your impressions from play at E3?
Petra: Technically, C&C has few to tear (although the Voxel grahpics work quite well), but mission design, intermediate sequences, atmosphere, units, buildings and play are absolutely brilliant. But: Westwood sells the "new" features (those for example that Blizzard offered long ago) quite skillfully as revolutionary ideas-one should not be dazzled by them.

Many thanks to all the above sites!
TS Articles - Daniel
I've just enlarged the Articles section of this web site massivly. There are now 55 TS-related articles available for you to read. Check it out in the Extras>Articles section.
If you want to write an article for this site, to add to this section, please e-mail me.

Aaron Fan Questions - Daniel
TSNNZ have posted 5 of 15 questions, from fans, which have been answered by Aaron Cohen. Westwood PR Manager. Here are a couple of them:
Dlehal: Could you please ask how the night time works, is it like scripted, and after like 10 minutes the daylight will turn to nightime?
Aaron: It is a gradual change, with the overall lighting dimming and the ground level lights getting brighter.

Durhammo: Will there be any effect from burrowing and digging underground a lot?(such as weak ground)?
Aaron: No.

The others are mainly about hardware. Head over to TSNNZ to see them.
Nod Negative Pics - Daniel
Over at Battleground:TS they have posted these images, taken from the official Nod Site and made negative to see more clearly. They show Nod officers Hassan and Vega:
Hassan Vega
Check out our Nod section for more information and images of each of these characters.
Mid-August Release?!? - Daniel
Presto of RSN asked this at a local video/game store:
Presto: Can I Pre-Order Tiberian Sun?
Video Manager: I am expecting 35 copies to arrive here in about 2 weeks. I can save you one.
Wow! That would be good, but I doubt the manager had his facts right.
Tiberium Gas Clouds - Daniel
Bounty from BG:TS asked Adam the following question:
Bounty: Hey Rade, I was wondering if that feature mentioned a while back about Tiberium gas clouds drifting over by the wind was still in the game? Many people have been wondering about it.
Rade: Yeah, I just used it to kill someone recently. Great stuff.
Wow, can't wait to use that! But I wonder how?
I was right! - Daniel
Gamma from TiberiumSun.com e-mailled Adam Isgreen about the 'unit' in the image below:
Gamma: I was just wondering if you could identify the pentagonal shape object in the following screenshot.
Adam: It's a powerup crate :)
Seems I was right about what I said below, it was a crate.
Monday 26th July 1999
Sorry! - Daniel
I just looked at our counter and saw that we were only getting a few hits every day! This is because I really messed up with the new site design so if you came from a search engine you couldn't view the site! I'm sorry that all of you couldn't see the site over the last week or so, but now it is fixed. Please, in future, use the URL: http://come.to/tsexplosion. Thank you!
New Unit? I think Not. - Daniel
TSNNZ have posted this pic. They say that 3D hexagonal thing is a new unit, but I think they are wrong:
I think that could be a crate, like in C&C Red Alert. It contains money, units, or something. If you have any other thoughts on this, please e-mail me.
More Hint Book Images... - Daniel
The whole CompUSA hintbook has been scanned now and several images are available. They were all sent by Omegacentrix, who works at CompUSA, to Gamma of TiberiumSun.com:
  • Medic, Jump Jet Infantry, Titan & Wolverine - 277Kb - Download
  • Attack Cycle, Attack Buggy, Tick Tank, Stealth Tank - 299Kb - Download
  • AdamV has sent the complete guide to TiberiumSun.com which can be viewed here
"Most Copies of a Game Ever" - Daniel
Omegacentrix, who works at CompUSA has told Gamma of TiberiumSun.com that CompUSA are getting 210 copies of TS! He says that's more copies of a game that's ever been bought at once for a release. It looks like TS is gonna be as big as we want it to be!
MMII Pic Compressed - Daniel
Floris has compressed the pic again, to only 90Kb, and sent it to Gamma of TiberiumSun.com. Click here to see it.
Sunday 25th July 1999
Site Updates - Daniel
There is now some more information about The Aliens and The Forgotten in the Sides section so have a look at that.
Also, the images section has been expanded, to include some fake screenshots, images of the TS team, and also some concept art sketches. Much more should be added over the next few weeks.
Top 5 RTS Games - Daniel
Again in the latest issue of PC Gamer UK (72), there is a list of the top 5 games of each genre. In Real-Time Strategy the order is:
  1. Warzone 2100
  2. Populous: The Beginning
  3. Total Annihilation
  4. Starcraft
  5. Close Combat II: The Russian Front
No C&C! :( Mind you, Warzone 2100 is an excellent game, with amazing 3D graphics. Well, Tiberian Sun should be the top of that list in about a month.
MMII Pic and CompUSA Handbook - Daniel
RSN have been sent some images and unit info scanned from a free CompUSA hintbook. You can see a cool Mammoth Mark II pic, which is 1.17Mb, here. The 290Kb version is available, here. You can see more images inclusing pics of the Hover MRLS, Disruptor Tank, DSA and the Ghost Stalker, all at RSN.

Red Alert League - Daniel
OK, this isn't Tiberian Sun news, but for anyone in the UK who plays Red Alert on the net, I just thought you'd like to know. PC Gamer UK will be running a C&C: Red Alert league on Wireplay which will start in about a month. Buy the next issue of the magazine to find out more (or maybe the next issue after that, but hell, it's a good magazine, so buy them both).
Video Shots of Ion Storm - Daniel
BG:TS have noticed something cool in the TiberianSun.de video. Around the 50s mark, there is a lot of electrical activity, lightning, etc. in a GDI base. Could this be an Ion Storm? Possibly! But however, the Orca fighters weren't disabled so maybe it wasn't an Ion Storm. Take a look:
PCG Most Wanted - Daniel
C&C: Tiberian Sun has again risen to the top spot in PC Gamer's (UK) Most Wanted games. It has overtaken Quake III with nearly double the number of votes at almost 25%. It seems the game's popularity is again rising as we aproach the release date.
Saturday 24th July 1999
Now I'm Back - Daniel
That's right. I'm back from a rainy, yet fun week in West Scotland. Definitly going abroad next year! Anyway, thanks to Alex for updating the site! Someone has e-mailed me about that Nod site, and says he got in. I'll post more news as I get it. For now, here's the rest of the weeks news:
New Layouts - Daniel
Everyone seems to be getting new layouts at the moment. Both BG:TS and TSNNZ, as well as this site, have recently snazzied-up their layouts.
WWU Unit Info - Daniel
WW-Underground have posted some more info from their 'Westwood Units File'. Here's what they said about the Cyborg Commando:
Cyborg Commando:
Those cyborgs that perform well are further modified and promoted to the Nod Cyborg Commando ranks. Packing enough firepower to take out entire bases, the Cyborg Commando is a large threat on the battlefield. Armed with a chain gun and flame-thrower, the Commando can make quick work of vehicles, infantry and structures.
New Movie - Daniel
TiberianSun.de have released a new TS movie, taken from a 4 minute video. You can download it somewhere on their (German) site.
At Last!!!!!! - Daniel
Well, it seems Tiberian Sun has finally Gold. This image was on the front page of EB World:
TS Goes Gold!
You know what this means - The August 27th release date is very likely to be true. Chips & Bits also say Aug 24th, and most places are saying Aug 17th. TS is gonna be released after all these years of waiting. Yeahhhhhhh!
Rade Interview - Daniel
BG:TS have found an interview with Rade about Tiberian Sun in a Babbage's/Software ETC catalogue. It summarizes many points about the game well, but doesn't offer much new info. Here's a excerpt:
Software ETC: What is the brief synopsis of C&C 2?
Rade: With Tiberian Sun, we have created new units, new game strategies, new graphics, a new kind of battlefield, dozens of new game features, and a completely new game engine. Several aspects of the original C&C gameplay dynamic have been retained while others evolved. When our fans play TS they'll see all of the best aspects and traditions, which were in our previous C&C games in addition to so many new things mentioned above. Best of all, fans will appreciate the quality and depth we are building into Tiberian Sun which will make it a game with lasting value, intrigue, and fun.
You can read the other questions here.
TS Unit Viewer 2.0 - Daniel
EA Central have finished writing version 2.0 of their TS Units viewer, which allows you to view info and images if the GDI and Nod units. It has more information and some fixed bugs but is 1.5Mb. However, you can read all you'll ever need to know about TS units, here.
New RA2TS - Daniel
Shadow from TS Nation, who helped make RA2TS Version 2 has created a patch to improve this program which makes Red Alert look like Tiberian Sun. The patch has the following modifications:
  • Added the Temple of Nod
  • New look for Ion Cannon (icon and animation)
  • Both sides now match in color (red for Nod and yellow for GDI)
  • GDI light infantry is Tanya's voice because the images of the light battle infantry on both sides are different
  • Cyborg sidebar pictures corrected
  • More balanced and accurate, according to the latest information released by Westwood.
  • No GPS
  • Bug: You must build about 4 power plants before building a weapons factory.
You can download the 1.14Mb zip-file by clicking here. Unzip the files to the same directory where you installed RA2TS (probably C:\Westwood\redalert\) and overwrite anything it asks to.
Thanks to TiberiumSun.com for this news.
You can visit the official RA2TS Website, here.
CD and Figurine Images - Daniel
Yes, more images! Planet CNC have posted three more new images:
Nod Disc, GDI Figure 1. Nod Disc and Platinum Edition GDI Figurine.
Platinum Edition GDI Figurine 2. Platinum Edition GDI Figurine (Collector's Edition GDI Soldier)
Nod Game Disc 3. Nod Game Disc.
Looks like the GDI figurine is a light infantry, and as usual, the game will come on two CDs, one for each side.
PC Action Image - Daniel
BG:TS got this image of General Solomon from the Cover CD of the German Magazine, PC Action:

Upgrade Center Pic - Daniel
BG:TS have posted this image of the GDI Upgrade Center:
Joe on the MM2 - Daniel
[e-3n] of Planet CNC has asked Joe Bostic a few questions. Here are a couple of them:
[e-3n]: While reading a preview, I saw a carryall can't carry a MM2, is this true?
Joe: The MM2 can be carried by a carryall.

[e-3n]: What is a good unit to take out the MM2?
Joe: It takes LOTS of good units to take out a MM2. Those things are tough.

You can read the rest at Planet CNC.
New Previews and Articles - Daniel
  • The gaming magazine, Gamers Gateway has written a good TS preview which you can read here.
  • SonicStorm of RSN has written an article about what the TS community will be like when the game is released.
  • TheDude has written some fan fiction about some Nod troops being ambushed by some GDI forces and sent it to TiberiumSun.com. read it here.
  • Ranga14 at TSAT has noticed that there was a preview in the latest edition of Computer Gaming World and a hint of a review coming next month!
  • GameSlice have written a small preview of Command and Conquer: Commandos, the 3rd-person action game featuring Tanya. (I thought they'd renamed it C&C: Renegade, but maybe not). Anyway, you can read the preview here.
  • One more. UGN 3D have written a TS preview which you can see by clicking here.
  • Sorry, I lied. This is the last one though. An article entitled, "Westwood's Responsibility", by Torsiello. Read it Here.
