A: The current release date for TS is Summer 1999 (maybe August 27th)
Q: Will there be a MAC version of Tiberian Sun?
A: No, Westwood is not planning on releasing a MAC version.
Q: Will Tiberian Sun run on DOS or Linux?
A: No, Tiberian Sun will only be available for Windows 95/98.
Q: Will Tiberian Sun be available for Sony Play Station?
A: Although unconfirmed, Westwood most likely to release this game for the Play Station Console.
Q: How many CDs will Tiberian Sun come on?
A: Probably 2-3 CDs (most likely 2).
Q: Will there be a demo for Tiberian Sun?
A: Possible, but after the game's release.
Q: Will Tiberian Sun be available in DVDs?
A: To be decided.
Q: How much will Tiberian Sun cost?
A: US$50 - US$60. Currently pre-order cost at US$49.99.

Q: What is Tiberian Sun?
A: Tiberian Sun is a Real-Time-Strategy (RTS) game. That basically means it is strategic but not turn based. It also takes place from a a bird's eye view of the battlefield rather than from a comprehensive map of the region in question. You need to gather resources to build structures and units. With these units and structures you aim to defeat your opponent by out-manuevering him using strategic measures.
Q: How many missions will there be for each side?
A: There will be around 15-20 missions for each side. (30-40 missions in all)
Q: Will you be able to play as the Forgotten?
A: No, you cannot play as the Forgotten but you may hire them like mercenaries for support and other purposes.
Q: Will Tiberian Sun have a NAV Point System for unit patrol and etc?
A: Yes, Tiberian Sun have NAV Point which is easy to use yet very sophisticated.
Q: Will there be an option for difficulty level?
A: Yes, and at each level, the AI acts in a different way.
Q: Will there be any disasters in Tiberian Sun?
A: Yes, this is one of the coolest new features. Tiberian Sun has disasters such as Meteor Storms, Ion Storms, Toxic Winds and others.
Q: What kind of terrains are there?
A: Artic, urban, desert, river side, and many more.

Q: Is Tiberian Sun be a full 3D game?
A: Yes, Tiberian Sun will be utilizing a new game engine known as Voxel. Voxel are pixels with height, width and depth. Westwood create their units in 3D STUDIO MAX and use a special program to turn them into voxels. Voxels processing doesn't require any 3D rendering at all.

Q: Will Tiberian Sun support any 3D card to enhance image quality and game speed?
A: Tiberian Sun doesn't need a 3D card and will not even support any 3D card. A 3D Card will make absolutely no difference to game performance.
Q: Will there be a map editor for Tiberian Sun?
A: No, but there will be a random map generator. The map editor Westwood use has been considered to complicated for public release.
Q: How many players can play together over Internet at WW Chat?
A: Tiberian Sun supports up to 4-8 (unconfirmed) player via Internet (TCP/IP).
Q: How many players can play over LAN?
A: Tiberian Sun supports upto 8 players via LAN.
Q: Will we able to to zoom in the battlefield during gameplay.
A: Yes, Tiberian Sun now allows you to zoom in and out battlefields.
Q: Will Tiberian Sun make use of any special hardware to enhance gameplay?
A: Although Tiberian Sun may not support any 3D cards, it will preform better with AGP and MMX. Tiberian Sun may have the support for A3D sounds.

Q: Will there be naval units?
A: Unfortunately, no. It was decided by Westwood that balancing would be too difficult with naval units.
Q: Will there be Air to Air combat?
A: No. This feature was originally planned for. However, it has been removed due to difficulties in controlling fast-moving air units in combat.
Q: Will there be critters in Tiberian Sun, like those in Warcraft and Starcraft?
A: Critters will be introduced, except they will be Tiberium mutated animals such as Viceroids. Watch out though, these critters are real mean and the larger they are, the more dangerous they are.

Q: Will day time change to afternoon then evening while you are playing?
A: Yes, the daylight will change during certain missions, while on others it won't.
Q: Will Tiberian Sun have mountains that are smooth like in Total Annihilation?
A: Yes, it will be like Total Annihilation and not like Starcraft.
Q: Will there be cheats for Tiberian Sun?
A: No! Westwood are trying to prevent people from hacking into the game as well. Sorry, no rules.ini file this time!
Q: Will there be different types of tiberium?
A: Yes, there are 2 types of tiberium. The neon green one and the blue tiberium which are more valuable and highly explosive.
